The Industrial Roundtable is one of the largest student-run job fairs in the country and gives students the opportunity to interact with many different companies. On the Monday of IR week, corporate seminars will be presented in which companies can speak to students and share insight on the workings of an engineering firm. On Tuesday and Wednesday, companies will participate in the Industrial Roundtable job fair on the Purdue Memorial Mall. The aim of the job fair is to provide an atmosphere for open communication between students and company representatives. Companies will be looking for students interested in summer internships, co-op programs, and permanent placements. Companies will conduct interviews with students on the Wednesday through Friday of IR week.

The first Industrial Roundtable was held by PESC in 1980. The Industrial Roundtable was created as a way to increase the interaction between corporate representatives and engineering students at Purdue. The event was initially held in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms but grew quickly, as more companies came each year. The event grew so large that it was moved outdoors and is now held on the Purdue Memorial Mall. Currently, over 300 companies attend the fair over the two days.
